H.O.S.S. said...: Goat - This is indeed news but your post overstates the point. These are merely allegations -- not facts. And the news article to which you link appears to have misquoted the Congressional report.

Sounds like a Republican smear campaign to bring down an up-and-coming Democratic mayor. KJ could have rested on his NBA laurels and gotten fat and/or gone into broadcasting. Instead he wanted to give back to his community and embarked on a career in public service.

Of interest to me is how the Maloofs, Sacramento's true royalty, will come out on this. Will they back Johnson, who currently seems poised to offer them political support for a new arena, or their Lebanese brother Rep. Issa?
